SETTING UP YOUR ACCOUNT

Once you sign up, you can get started by setting up your account.

In SMhack, all your clients are termed as Clients. Social profiles and pages are termed as Profiles. The team members you invite and collaborate with are termed as Users.

When you sign up for SMhack, you will be asked to choose the type of user you are—Agency or Business.

Agency

If you are an Agency, then you will need to add your Agency’s name, followed by the client’s name that you handle. If you chose Agency by mistake, you have the option to switch to Business on this page. Following this, you will be given a quick tour of SMhack. Under Agency, you have Clients, Profiles, and Users.

A Client is where you will manage all the social profiles and team members. Under each Client you can add their brands’ social profiles and pages across Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. You can connect their Instagram and Google Analytics accounts to get data on the performance of your client’s brands.

You may either have multiple users from the same team or from other teams working on one client’s profiles. Each user may handle different tasks. You can assign a specific role for each user depending on the tasks they handle.

As an SMhack Agency user, you will get a 14-day trial of the Agency plan. Once the trial period is over, you will be moved to the Free plan in which you can only publish and schedule social posts.

Business

If you are a Business, then you will need to add your Business’ name. If you chose Business by mistake, you have the option to switch to Agency on this page. You will be given a quick tour of SMhack. Under Business, you have Profiles and Users. You can add your business’ social profiles and pages that you want to manage across Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. You can connect Instagram and Google Analytics accounts to get data on your business’ social performance.

Similar to Agency, your business may have multiple teams and team members who handle different tasks. You can assign a specific role for each user depending on the tasks they handle.

As an SMhack business user, you will get a 14-day trial of the Premium plan. Once the trial period is over, you will be moved to the Free plan in which you can only publish and schedule social posts.

*As part of our privacy policy, we keep all your user data strictly confidential. We do not post on any networks without your permission.

Each client consists of all Twitter handles, Facebook profiles and pages, LinkedIn profiles and pages, Instagram account, and Google Analytics account pertaining to them. An Account Owner is the one who created the account. The account has all administrative access across clients, profiles, users, reports, settings, billing, upgrading plan, deleting account, etc.
